APA AZ sends THREE to the 2006 APA $300,000 National Singles Championships

APA AZ members battled to championship form among almost 200 players in the 2006 San Diego Singles Regional Championships with three APA AZ players advancing to the APA $300,000 National Singles Championships.

Shane Bouchard won the Green Tier (SL2-3) 9-Ball Regional Championship and in two separate Tiers APA AZ players met in the final round.

Brian Chapin held off Lee Lawrence to claim the Yellow Tier (SL4-5) 8-Ball Regional Championship and Gary Wheeler prevailed over Al Terpstra to become the Black Tier (SL6-9) 9-Ball Regional Champion. Wheeler was also the Runner-Up in the Purple Tier (SL6-7) 8-Ball Regional.

Other APA AZ players that participated were David Hilditch, Mike Kounkel, Lloyd Lawrence, Ron Novonty and Kimberly Robinson.

All total, APA AZ players took home 3 Regional Championships and 3 Regional Runner-Up awards!

Bouchard, Chapin, and Wheeler will advance to the $300,000 APA National Singles Championships held in Las Vegas April 27-29.

Other events include the $25,000 Jack and Jill 8-Ball Championship and MiniMania.

MiniMania events pay out more than $200,000 annually at the APA National Single Championships and the $600,000 APA National Team Championships.
