APA AZ team
"High Maintenance" (Kimberly
and Gary Robinson) from Maricopa, Arizona fought to a 3rd Place
finish at the APA Jack & Jill 8-Ball Championships held April 27-29
in Las Vegas. The competition raged among 256 teams from the United
States and Canada.
Losing in the second round in a modified single
elimination format,
"High Maintenance" won victory after victory to make it all the
way to the semi-finals
 before
losing to the eventual tournament champions.
"We were so close we could taste it," said Kimberly.
"We actually were ahead of the tournament winners 2-1 at one point
in the semi-finals match but couldn't pull out the win. They were
just better than us that day. But we'll proudly take 3rd!"
